Recently a user by the name RyeBrye found that if you recompile the code for the synaptic screen with the excluded multi-touch portion, he could then record two separate finger presses at one time. RyeBrye has created a video that clearly demonstrates the two separate traces by two other colors.

Google Phone Week in Review - Week 46 2008

This week a G1 owner found a very odd bug in the Android OS that automatically sends all keystrokes the to root shell as commands. The end result is phones rebooting with seemingly no reason.  Google recently sent out an update (RC30) to remedy the security flaw. Google later went on to explain the reason for this odd bug.

Google Phone Week in Review - Week 45 2008

This week, Verizon put out a comparison chart that outlined all the features that they offer that the T-Mobile G1 does not. The comparison was basically unfair because they are comparing the G1 to an entire service provider with many phones and many features.  A young Australian consumer electronics maker started telling people that he will be launching his own Android-powered handset sometime in the near future. He believes that it will sell very well as the first Android sold in Australia.

Google Phone Week in Review - Week 44 2008

Sprint has commented on their future with Android this week. Sprint CEO Dan Hesse, told the media that Android is not (yet) good enough for the Sprint name. This certainly comes as a surprise to us as Sprint is one of the founding companies of the Open Handset Alliance (OHA). Android Community shared an unlocking video with their members and decided to hold a contest with 3 unlock codes as prizes in celebration of the event.
