HTC Dream phone

20 March 2008 - 11:47

Rumor is swirling around the forthcoming iPhone-like HTC Dream. Handset maker High Tech Computer (HTC) is expected to be the first company out the door with an Android-powered phone set to release sometime in 2008 (possibly near the June time frame).

The HTC Dream will include many of the iPhone features, such as the full touch screen interface and keyboard. It is expected to measure 5-inch long and 3-inch wide. According to AllHeadLineNews, there will be a keyboard below the screen.

HTC may be the first out the door with an Android phone, but rests assure they won’t be the only one. Taiwan-base Samsung, a powerhouse phone manufacturer won’t be sitting around idle. Samsung and others will be gearing up to create the iPhone-killer by way of the Android platform.

The picture above was shown on BBC video, and has been undergoing tests at Google. The HTC Dream may or may not resemble it; it’s hard to say. I’m willing to be the farm that it’ll be pretty darn close.

    Samsung is a Korean Company…

Also, the proper expression is “rest assured” NOT “rests assure.”

Please, if you’re going to write news articles get the facts straight and use proper English.

First off Samsung is one of the worst phone manufacturers, along with Motorola. I work for AT&T tech support. Every Blackjack and Blackjack II call we get has to do with internet not working despite settings being correct. The fix: Master Reset. Shouldn’t have to do a master reset to get internet working. Software in the phone is defective. They should just stick to basic flip phones. On another note that Test phone looks hideous.. I know it’s not the gPhone just pointing out its hideous

  3. Yes,I Appreciate… Samsung is one of the leading company…
    nicely explained…interesting article.

  4. I own a HTC Touch currently. and let me tell you this will be another great product from HTC. i must say i have several friends who own Iphones and my phone hands down blows that “rotten apple” out of the water. I have about 2000 diffrent programs that im able to use on my Windows based Phone. where iphone has … pong…

So do purchase an HTC product you will not be dissapointed, I must agree though .. your wrighting skills are lacking greatly. also your fact finding sucks. next time you want to print some facts try google.com to double check ..

HTC phones are junk!!! I had a HTC touch phone that broke down after just over 1 month!! The software is crap and the OS is buggy. The warranty is also garbage as they will replace my new broken HTC unit with a used once broken phone and on top of that it will take months to get it!! I am now forced to use a piece of crap loaner phone that has a broken ringer! Thanks HTC for building a completly defective product! Buyers beware of HTC products - I am getting out of my contract (at my expense) and getting a i-phone!

  6. Wish android make great success in handset.
I believe the company who lead handset OS, will get great benefit in the next 20 years.

  7. Ill post all live streaming blogs that’s coming up on Sept 23rd. Also some news about the HTC Dream like real prices, info etc.

HTC Phones may be junk, but the new google phone powered by the GPS system, manufactured by a NZ based company called RAKON, will go a long way and their sales are going to explode, despite the worldwide recession.
